Have you tried stay dry diapers or inserts? Fleece or suede liners might help.

We wash every other day and go through about 20-24 aio's and 2 night diapers by then.

6 Peachy Green size 0 AIO
8 Bottombumper SM AIO
20 NB Simplex

7 A & M Boutique Fitteds
6 Pianissimo Fitteds
1 Bamboozle
2 Thirsties Duo Fitteds (probably going to destash- we never, ever reach for these)

8 knit longies
6 upcycled wool covers

In our working stash we have

24 Grovia soakers
12 Grovia prefolds

12 Grovia covers
7 DS covers

6 BG Freetimes for nights

I wash every 2-3 days and this is working pretty well for us. I air dry my Freetimes and covers and all inserts go in the dryer. I want a dozen more prefolds and more covers but could get by fine without them if I wanted to.

In my regular rotation for two in cloth:

12 osocozy large fitteds
4 loveybums wool pull on covers
2 DIY fleece soakers
1 disana soaker for nights
4 ME sandy's for nights

That's for the 2 y/o

For my 6 month old DS:

3 dozen osocozy flats
2 dozen red GMD prefolds (don't use these regularly)
2 cocalo perfect bum covers
6 grovia shells
3 bamboo terry flats from Stashify (for nights)
1 disana soaker for night

I wash every other day unless the pail fills up sooner.

Re: How many in your working stash?

We rotate through:
-4-5 dozen flats
-a dozen covers
-a mix of a dozen cotton or hemp doublers
-a dozen AIO's

I have one in diapers now, and will have 2 come April. Once DD outgrows her newborn dipes, she will share the flats stash with DS. We wash every 2-3 days.

This is a pic of our working diaper stash not including the prefolds and covers. I like to change it up according to my mood, occasion, outfit, time of day etc.

Re: How many in your working stash?

I have about 3 dozen changes in my working stash for one child. I wash on Wednesdays and Saturdays. 3 dozen is getting a little tight to wash that seldom, and until quite recently I had closer to 4 dozen. But I had to retire some due to shot elastic.

I've also got another 3 dozen or so waiting in the wings for the baby coming next month. Then I'll be washing way more often, obviously.

Love the stash pic! Like the idea of using a pack n play. How do others store your diapers? Where do you usually change?
