What Is biokleen considered? I wouldn;t call it maistream. It is more natural but not really in the "CD Safe" realem. I think it only gets 3 stars on pin strip and poka dots

I've successfully used biokleen liquid and rockin green.
What is not fair about it.

I have never had issues. From the begining I used common sense about laundry and used the correct amount of detergent and hot water. No issue ever. The one time I had a problem is when I listened to everyone that said I had to use a CD safe soap and 2Tbsp of it. They came out stinky so I quickly rewashed in my regular routine. I have done the same routine for 4 years.

I had no issues with country save, bum genius, and Molly's Suds. Molly's was the best. I used them all with bac out.

I had serious issues with rockin green, which I bought once because it was locally available..

The good new is that most major brands will work just fine: Tide, Purex, and Gain, to name a few. All of them will clean your diapers well. Just stay away from detergents with lots of plant oils, fabric softeners or bleach."
Nice!

Re: Detergent Poll: Mainstream vs. CD Safe

I use tide free and gentle. No rashes and no stink. Before it I tried like 4 'cd safe' detergents and none of them work with our hard water. I've been washing dipes in tide for a year and a half now with no issues.

I voted other. I use my own recipe for homemade detergent and no issues 2 years in with bleach occasionally.

My iDevices are out to get me. Please excuse mistakes.

I've never used used anything but Charlie's soap and have never had a problem! I will never use anything else again. I use it for cloth diapers and mama cloth, and all of my laundry. And it cleans the tub better than CLR (when used like comet.)

We have used Tide for almost 5 years now without any rash or stink issues.

ETA: We have very hard water.

Re: Detergent Poll: Mainstream vs. CD Safe

I had issues with the 5 star rated, diaper safe Ecos F&C. We got ammonia burn around 10 months in nighttime dipes. Since switching to Tide and occasional bleach we have had no issues.
