I just fell :(

I am 37.1 weeks and I just fell. I landed on my cushioned butt thank goodness, but now I am worried. Is there anything I should watch for?

Poor thing! Watch for cramping, bleeding, lack of movement from baby for too long...take it easy for a while, maybe lay down on the couch and relax...monitor baby's kicks/movement.
More than likely everything is just fine..keep your finger on the pulse...just in case.

Thanks, I think I am going to lay down for an hour, she is kicking up a storm, more then likely I have made her upset that I disturbed her LOL.

Re: I just fell :(

I was in a car accident at 37 weeks. We had just pulled out of the parking lot and I hadn't put my seatbelt on yet so when we were hit I wasn't wearing my seatbelt. I hit the dashboard belly on and the car hit my side of the door and caved it on the side of my belly. I was transported by ambulance and was admitted overnight for observations. My son was born a week later by scheduled c section (had nothing to do with the car accident) and he was perfectly fine and healthy. Athough I was pretty beat up and still had a black eye in all of his first pictures, he was fine. I was reassured by many doctors there at the hospital that he would be ok.

I just wanted to offer some encouragement and I hope you aren't too worried.

NOT fun. Make sure you rest up and let your body get better. It's quite unlikely that baby was harmed at all. However, falling when you're pregnant is not good - your joints are all softened up and it's much easier to injure yourself! You'll probably feel pretty achy and be bruised up for a few days. You may want to look into seeing a chiro.

I'm terribly clumsy when pregnant. With my third I fell stepping over a baby gate and took the gate down with me. OUCH. With my fourth I fell down the stairs. I've already fallen down the stairs this pregnancy too.

OOooh are you ok? I'm always worried about falling while I'm pregnant and I've been lucky so far. The worst I've done is get stuck between my car and the garage door. Not fun. :/

I'd take it easy and keep an eye on the LO's movement. Call your Dr. so they know and just rest as best you can.

Thank goodness we're almost done! I can't see my feet and I trip over the cats all the time.

Re: I just fell :(

When I was 36 weeks, I fell getting out of my car It was icy and I had NEW flip flops on and when I stepped down, my feet went out from under me. I too landed on my nice cushy bum My tailbone hurt but other than that, baby and I were fine....

Just take it easy for the day...I know, easier said than done...

I fell getting out of the car at 34 weeks. Landed on my hands and knees. Not fun, but all was ok. Getting some rest is a good idea!!

Re: I just fell :(

I just saw your post as I was browsing. I fell down an enitre flight of stairs at about 30 weeks. I had a concussion but the baby was fine. I called my OB and she did an u/s just to check.
