Re: Just wondering about the differences across the U.S.

I work at a La Petite Academy in San Antonio... our preschool rate (3-5) is $165/week. Infants (6wks-12m) is $187/week. Tods and 2s are somewhere in between. School agers are $85/week (I think) for before and after care, and $165/week summer and Christmas break

We've only done preschool... We are in a suburb of Seattle.
2.5 hours twice a week is $140
3 hours 4 days a week with an add on enrichment program for 3 additional hours twice a week is $340
I know it is not uncommon to pay over $1000 a month for daycare.

I'm in Lake Wales [Central Florida]. At my Pre-K, we charge $90 per week for full time and $45 per week part time.
However it is a school schedule so the day is shorter [7:30-3:00pm]. And we also follow the school calendar. [This is the non-VPK portion].

The price does include both breakfast and lunch and one snack. We also provide all supplies and the sleeping mat.

For my own child, he went to the YMCA. We paid $135 weekly. [Regular Pre-school/Daycare]

Oklahoma here. Around $200+ for daycare for an infant.

We pay $120/wk for my 2 1/2 year old. She's at an in home daycare full time. It went down when she potty trained.

Washington DC - $20/h for nanny for infant. Couldn't get off the wait list for decent daycare. (Signed up while we were TTC), but near the end of a wait list for good drop-in daycare which is $95/day.
