Oh NO! I broke him!!

I ruined my kid!

Ds1 (14) dropped the F-bomb in the kitchen this morning, and ......

I laughed!! Uh oh!!

He is prepping for Alberta Cup tryouts and is all on this dryland training and protein kick, so he made eggs. Apparently there was shell in his eggs and when he went to take a bite, he spit it out and said "aw, F***!" He INSTANTLY turned to me bright red with that "dear lord, I'm a dead man" look on his face. Then he realized I was almost in a puddle of pee laughing at him.

It's soooo out of character for him. I'm sure he curses around his buddies at the rink (14yo Bantam kid playing with a Midget team of 15-17yo boys) and he can belt it out with Berzerk in the car, but wow - I wasn't laughing so much at the fact that he said it, but the instantaneous ZOMG! look that came over his face!!

I do love that he definitely understands appropriateness and usage of such words. ;-)

DSD did the same with me one day. She dropped something and said "****" She immediately looked at me like I was going to kill her, lol. After I finished laughing hysterically, I told her if that's the worst to ever slip out then I think her dad and I did a pretty good job

Candra, mommy and nurse ;-)

It's even worse when a 2 year old says it. I really need to watch my own mouth. I try to say snap, or fudge, but I still mess up at times myself. I also would have laughed.

Re: Oh NO! I broke him!!

We were standing at the bus stop in the snow about 2 weeks ago and the temps had dropped pretty considerably and with the wind chill it was hovering just below 0 and my six year old comes up, head butts my belly, and goes, "mom? I'm free*ing. This sucks!"

hahahaha
