Right start math with montessori materials??

I've got all the montessori math materials, but DS needs more structure, and doesn't always like the materials. (Prefers using a number line to counters for example) so if we went with right start math, would I need the materials? Or would the montessori materials I already have work? Can I incorporate the lessons in other ways?

You would need some but not all. I'd give them a call and ask which you'd want to buy.

I think when we bought it there was a basic kit and then full kit. We are doing level a(kindergarten) and we use the abacus daily plus the tally sticks, and the cards often

Re: Right start math with montessori materials??

We are halfway through A (2nd ed). Right now we are constantly using:
Abacus
White board
Tiles
Tally sticks
Math balance
Cards

For most lessons.

I have used red rods and other Montessori supplies for some lessons. Usually the lessons that use actual Montessori items have a cardstock paper version you cut out. Plus isn't used for long.
