Best inexpensive prefolds

I'd like to pick up a dozen or so larger prefolds for when the baby grows out of his infant size Bummis, to supplement the AIOs I've gotten. But the large size Bummis prefolds are rather pricy.

Can anyone recommend some good but less expensive prefolds (branded or Etsy/WAHM)?

Re: Best inexpensive prefolds

I have diaper rite and gmd and actually love them both pretty equally. I bought the diaper rite secondhand, and the gmd brand new. The diaper rite are a bit thinner and actually a bit softer, but that may be because they are older. If you don't mind 2nd hand, just stalk the fsot section; prefolds last such a long time you can get great deals by buying used ones.

Re: Best inexpensive prefolds

Sounds like I need to check out Diaper Rite!

It's a bit tricky since I'm in Canada and prefolds are heavy, so buying used ends up being overly expensive with the shipping unless I can find them locally (which I did with my infant size, but the larges seem to come up less often).

Another vote for Diaper Rite! The organics are on sale for crazy cheap right now in medium and large. They're super soft and absorbent. They haven't quilted up much at all, which is my only complaint. But for the price, they're pretty fantastic.

Re: Best inexpensive prefolds

I bought GMDs this time around. Baby's not here, yet, but I'm happy with them.
