I have an Ameda Purely Yours and it worked great for me, pumping at least
2x a day for 11 months. It is still working, but I've quit pumping!

I got a NIB one off Ebay for around $150, which was much cheaper than the Medela one.

I just got my PIS and LOVE it!!! I've tried Whisper Wear, and the Avent IQ and the PIS is the best of the lot!! It doesn't hurt AT ALL and it's quick!!! I LOVE it!!
I have an old version...the manual says '98 but it works great!!! I bought it off Ebay for $85!!!!! WOW!!!

I love my Ameda Purely Yours and Avent manual pump. I had heard before buying the purely yours that they were as good or better as Medela just without the hefty pricetag (because of the marketing as another poster mentioned). Also in the reviews of it many people said that it was one of the easiest to clean because you don't have to worry about milk getting in the tubes and/or the motor. I'm not sure which pumps do have that problem, but I'm glad not to have to worry about it or wash much stuff.
