Hi, just got into a "discussion" with DH about more kids: he's done, I am not. We have two boys, 4yr, and 1 yr old. I would like one more, but DH says "no more"

Anyone have this discussion?

. Maybe when my LO is bigger I can get him to change his mind.. He says hes not crzy about the really littleness of babies.. OH well

I have a 13 yo, an 11 yo, a 2 yo and a 3 month old. Why the big gap between the 2nd and 3rd? Because of the "discussion". I thought we'd never see eye to eye. Yeah, we started all over, but it has been awesome!! Maybe he'll come around one day. Mine finally did. I never nagged him, just mentioned it every once in a while. Good luck!

Me and DH did when discussing how many we want. He said 2, I said 3. He said "I'll get fixed after 2" (he was being rather argumentative and unhelpful here). I told him I hoped he would love the 3rd one like it was his own.

He wants 3 now.

hun, months ago DH was deadset on NO more, we're now TTC, give it some time and bring it up again, try and make him understand how important it is to you

When we got married, I wanted 3 or 4 and dh wanted ONLY 2!

Now he says, "I don't care how many we have, as long as it's not too much for you to handle."

God will let us know when we're done.

I always wanted 4-5, dh was firm on 2 only. After dd#2 was 2yrs old we had the discussion again & decided that 3 was a good middle ground. It took a long time to have her & we lost 3 babies before I got pg with her so that really scared dh (one loss needed emergency surgery). We figured we'd think about any more kids once we were settled somewhere & it wasnt even a possibility until dh was teaching somewhere FT. Well, he got his teaching position in August, said yes to having a #4 back in Nov (we'd start ttc in March...hahaha) & we got a little Xmas suprise instead. But we ARE done now

He's getting the "big V" this summer!

My DH and I have had the talk, even though I'm *only* pregnant with #2. If we had 2 of the same gender, we'd want a tie-breaker or the hat trick.

It seems we won't be in that situation though and we'll have to decide if #3 is in the cards for us based on finances.

I know exactly where you are coming from. My dh says we are done after 2...we have both a boy and a girl. However, we are going to start TTC in August for #3. I want 4 but, he says NO and he won't even discuss it period.
