Lower back pain?

Anyone dealing with lower back pain? Especially in subsequent pregnancies? I'm 5weeks.

I'm nervous because of my miscarriage in Feb, and yesterday my lower back started aching. It isn't extremely painful, but more like a dull ache. It was gone when I woke up this morning and now it's back again. I've read that it can be normal in early pregnancy... But I'm such a worrier.

I've heard everything stretches out quicker after you've had previous pregnancies, so I'm hoping that's what this is. Tell me, are you dealing with this as well?!

Yes, I am! I am about 6 weeks, and I've had low back ache/stiffness since the beginning of this pregnancy. I've also had spotting, so I was convinced that I was miscarrying. But my blood work came back today very high, and the doctor doesn't seem worried. I had low back pain and upper thigh aching in my first pregnancy too, and everything turned out just fine. Just rest and drink lots of water!

Re: Lower back pain?

I am experiencing it now and also had it early on in my previous pregnancy. I think it's relatively normal and not necessarily a sign of anything being wrong. Just take it easy if you can, get lots of rest and make sure you're drinking lots of water.

Thanks for the replies. Glad to know I'm not the only one.
I used a hot water bottle and it helped.
It hasn't been as bad the last couple of days. It's definitely mellowed out, and while I like that it isn't sore anymore I begin to wonder why it isn't. I can't win. I'll worry no matter what!
