Lightbulb I want to be team green....

I have never been team green, and DH says this is the last one. But I am worried about circ arguments with my husband. He is pro-circ (I think solely because he was circ' d) and takes it personally that I don't want a boy circ'd. I will not have the procedure done to my baby...period. But I don't want the first days to be a cloud of fighting. I have tried to explain it to him with my last 2 pregnancies, and we have argued about it up until we found out gender each time, when I dropped the subject to avoid unneeded stress at the time. I have picked a neutral coming home outfit, and as I hate pink washed stuff, seems like making people think outside the box would be better anyways.

Does your DH also want to be team green? I think it should be a joint decision.

We've been team green all three times, and probably will be again. Honestly, the only difficulty is constantly hearing about how other people think we should find out.

Re: I want to be team green....

We didn't find out the gender of our second child until birth. It was more fun, honestly. But having to listen to everyone else complain about not knowing beforehand is VERY ANNOYING. So if you can deal with that and your husband is on board, go for it!

Re: I want to be team green....

I 2nd in favor of TEAM GREEN!! Very few times in your life do you get to experience such an incredible surprise! First baby's gender was a mystery until he was born and this baby will be a surprise too! A lot of people think it's great we are going to be surprised! I was dead set against circumscision, hubby is circ'd, but was in favor of not circ'ing unless there was a strong medical reason for it. We figure we were born this way, must be a reason! We are not people to follow the "norm", just because "everyone else is doing it" without any true rationale behind it. Also speak with your pediatrican and get his/her take on the issue.
