need a recommendation please

My MIL recently traded in her truck for a more kid-friendly car so she can take the kids more. So now I need to find them seats for the car.

Stats: DD is 6.5. She rides in a Frontier as a HBB in my car and a Graco HBB in my grandma's car. DS is 3, 37" and maybe 32#. He rides on a convertible in my car.

I have a Graco Nauti that DD hates. My grandpa ruined the buckle by trying to oil it, but I have a replacement.

I can a) turn the Nauti into a HBB for DD and buy something for DS, or b) change the buckle on the Nauti, give it to DS, and buy another HBB for DD.

The Nauti will be turned into a HBB anyway for their cousin visiting next week anyway. Not super important info but helpful. Also, what would you recommend if I were to buy DS a seat?

Thanks for any input!!

I would use the graco for your 3 yo and buy a cheap hbb since these are just back up seats.

That's what i was thinking as it's cheaper. Sucks tho that i have to take out the harness for their cousin (he's 6) and then put in the new buckle for DS to use it

Does it need to be turned into a buckle for ds this week? Just trying to save you a step since you'll be having your nephew use it as a hbb next week.

No one is actaully using it right now. It was a harness seat, but started to stick (it has the bad buckle) so my gpa thought he's WD-40 it. I have a new buckle from Graco but haven't switched it yet.

Cousin comes in next Tues and needs it as a HBB. So I will have to take the harness out completely.

Once he's done with it, it will go into MIL's new car. It does make the most sense to turn it back into a harness for DS and buy a Turbobooster for DD. Though it sounds like the most work since it will already be in HBB mode

I would get a new hbb. Since you have to take the straps out anyways to put the new buckle on.

I know. Just sounds like a PITA. I just needed to see if there was another option I wasn't seeing.

oooh maybe I'll go buy a GN turbobooster before they get here. Cousin can use it for now and then DD will use it in MIL"s car after. Then I can just switch the buckle and not take out the whole harness.
