Re: Non stop braxton hicks contractions?

So they eased up? I mean since you got to 40 weeks Did they hurt? Did they start hurting more as you actually went into labor?

I guess it's up to the docs to figure out cost-benefit - mine was like let's get to 36 or 37 if we can that would be perfect. They say every day inside matters. I can believe that.

btw, this morning was my last nifedipine, and now the contractions are every few minutes.

Ok ladies here's an update. I have mild contractions several times an hour still, yesterday I had some brown spotting which that has never happened to me unless I was past my due date so they told me to go get checked out at l&d and they just did a 20 minute nonstress test and she sounded wonderful and it did pick up 2 small contractions so no biggie they just said my body is gearing up. Fast forward to a little bit ago at 3 am I woke up to pee and had a gush of red blood, no mucous really, and now I am spotting red/pink blood. Called l&d again and they said wait a few hours and if its still happening head back in. I don't know what's going on but I am a little nervous, like i keep saying I am used to 41 weekers, so I just hope if our little Daisy decides to come early that she is healthy...and also i wish I hadn't been so cocky and had all my stuff together for her to arrive lol, I'll be rushing around today to get bags packed and all that that's for sure! So, I'll keep you all updated Deirdre~ Wife to Joe & Momma to Emily, Lilly, Joseph, Maggie & Daisy who is due in August!

Re: Non stop braxton hicks contractions?

Hope everything turns out well. For me both numbers 6 and 7 arrived at 35 weeks. Both were perfectly healthy, number 7 only spent 12 hours at the hospital. I hope things go just as smoothly for you. Sometimes when we have more than 3 or 4 kids, our bodies just start doing things differently.

Mine were a minute long 2 minutes apart from 35 weeks through labor at 41 weeks. They never eased up. I'd say maybe 1 an hour was uncomfortable to painful. I was surprised they weren't worried at 35 weeks too... I'm very happy mine decided to camp out longer.

mommadeeof4+ So things might be moving along! Hope all goes great, keep us posted!

Bentley'sMommaThanks for this reply, it feels so good to know there are others out there like me... especially since this is my first baby Some during the night got painful but like one or two per hour, others were "normal"... minute long, 5-10 min apart.
Hope my little joker stays in a bit longer too..

I've been to the hospital and my doctors every day this week! I am still bleeding, mostly brown but sometimes I have some bright red. I've had ultrasounds, nst's and been checked several times and I'm not dilated yet, baby looks great, my placenta looks great and I have plenty of fluid! They are keeping a close eye on me, not sure why really because I thought this was kind of normal, although it's never happened to me before...they just keep saying there is no reason you should be bleeding...anyway that's my update thanks everyone for asking how its been going I go back tomorrow and Friday so I will update again

Could you have an infection? Possible yeast infections can cause contractions
