Re: Non stop braxton hicks contractions?

Great! Staying at the hospital is frustrating but better safe than sorry!

Re: Non stop braxton hicks contractions?

I'm currently pregnant with baby #2 and I've had periods of non-stop contractions. When I was pregnant with baby #1, the Braxton hicks were only every once in a while until I was about 40 weeks pregnant. With baby #2, I started having them come more frequently, even before 25 weeks. There was one night where I put a couple heavy shopping bags in my grocery cart and then had 20-30 contractions per day for the following 3 days. I was concerned, so I talked to some other moms about it. Many said it was normal for them to have more Braxton hicks with each new baby than the one they had before. And as far as doctors are concerned, they're not worried unless your contractions are timeable, getting closer together, and getting stronger...

My bleeding slowed to brown spotting yesterday, after lots of nst's and ultrasounds they told me I was fine. I woke up at midnight to massive bleeding and rushed to the hospital where I had an emergency section due to a placenta abruption, it was a terrifying experience and not at all like my other easy vaginal deliveries but I am so thankful everything is ok with my baby girl, I lost over 3 pints of blood and with all the drugs and surgery itself I am feeling pretty beat up but having my healthy, beautiful newbie makes it all worth it!
