Which cover is best for young infants?

I am due with Baby #4 in Dec and starting to think about a stash for her. I'm planning to use sposies for the tiny newborn stage. I don't want to invest that much money into NB cloth diapers. I have plenty of BG 4.0's after she gets into the one size stage.
I am thinking I will use prefolds and covers for the in between stage? Like after she outgrows NB sposies but before the OS starts to fit well.

So the question is, which cover is good for small infants but not NBs? I love Flips but I do not want diapers to be bulky on a small baby. Any other suggestions? I have only CD one child from 6 months.

I liked the Thirsties Duo size 1 covers for that stage.

I second the Thirsties duo! They fit my 9.5 lb 5 wk old perfectly.

That's encouraging to have 2 people say the same thing. Ha
Any idea how long those will fit? They are a little more than I was wanting to spend...
Also, I had the Thirsties Duo size 2 for my toddler at one time and they seemed bulky on her... Y'all haven't had that issue with the size 1?

I haven't found the size one duo to be bulky, even when we first started using it several weeks ago! It fit just as well as the sized Thirsties.

Re: Which cover is best for young infants?

The size 2 seemed bulky to me too but the size one were pretty trim and honestly a bit small. My guy out grew them at 6 months 15 pounds. Granted he is now tiny and fits them again at 20 lbs lol. But they really are awesome and keep the ebf in which is super important to me.

As far as the price you can get them for 10.40 new on diapers.com when you use their coupon code for new customers.

I also read that nickis diapers has thirsties on sale and you can stack the DSMAMA code too.

Re: Which cover is best for young infants?

So I can use DSMAMA at Nicki's? Did I read that right?
Thank you so much!!!
Even if I only got say 4 months out of them, (my babies are usually roly poly!) that would be plenty of time to grow into the OS I think.
EBF containment is important to me too. You have been very helpful and I thank you.
Those sale prices sound great as well.

Re: Which cover is best for young infants?

I just looked at nickis and I didn't see the sale the other mama was talking about :/ but diapers.com is still a nice option an sometimes they even do stackable codes so you get things for like 25-30% off
