Re: Which cover is best for young infants?

Mini coverall! It was my favorite & fit my DS to 18 lbs while he outgrew the rise in everything else long before reaching the weight limit.

I didn't like the thirsties duo because I found the flap in front to be us else eat holding the prefold in. I loved Capri covers for trifolding and tucking into a flap and rAR NB covers for snappi use.

The flap is only to cover the stitching of the Velcro landing strip the snaps don't have the flap

Another vote for thirsties duo size 1!! They were my favorite, we used mostly fitteds. . The size 2 I also found to much at first but now at 20lbs the fit my 95% dd nicely. In fact I am selling all my covers (and all other dipes that I don't love) soon since we switched to ft wool but the thirsties is the only pul I'm keeping for my emergency car stash👍...
Congratulations on your new comer!

Re: Which cover is best for young infants?

I use both mini coveralls and Thirsties duo size 1. I like both of them. The coveralls are probably a little better for short and chubby babies, Thirsties are probably a little better for long and skinnies like my DD, but both are still fitting well at 15 pounds. I just anticipate the Thirsties will last longer. It also depends on the insert. Mini coveralls will continue to work for a long time yet with my more trim inserts.

Which inserts do you use with the coveralls that are more trim? I am planning on prefolds for the young days but it would be nice to have a trim option.
