Re: Should I choose my next baby to be a boy or girl?

If i were 100 % honest i would chose a girl, because i only have one boy. I really want one of each, at least. But if it were my last pregnancy and I was in your shoes, I would put in both

Re: Should I choose my next baby to be a boy or girl?

I would probably choose the healthiest embryo like others said, or one of each.

I don't have a son (yet), but I do have a sister, and I have 2 girls close in age, and I think having 2 girls is wonderful. They are so close and play together... Very different from my friends who have one of each, though I know it's possible for siblings of different genders to be close. I don't think you can go wrong!

Re: Should I choose my next baby to be a boy or girl?

ive been through a ton of IVF's... took 4 tries to get DS... then several failed cycles with perfect embryos, then a MC from a successful cycle... and last try was DD.

I LOVE having one of each, but I personally would go with whichever looks the healthiest. Or go with the opposite sex of what you have now and if it fails then you were meant to have 2 of the same.

This is what I would do as well.

Re: Should I choose my next baby to be a boy or girl?

Truth to be told, I don't think you can go wrong either way. Have a DD and then a DS is great to have the difference, but for DD to have a sister is wonderful too. There are plus and minuses to each way. Neither better, but different. I know sister dynamics that are awesome and others that are competitive. I know brother-sister combo that are really close, but others that are distant.

Good luck making a decision, and know that either way you choose, you're family will be better for that individual person.

Re: Should I choose my next baby to be a boy or girl?

I would go with the healthiest looking embryo. If they were all healthy and it's strictly just a choice of boy or girl, honestly, I would have a sister for your girl. I have 3 girls though so I may be biased and I grew up with 2 sisters lol. I always thought I'd want a boy but now that I have all girls I couldn't imagine having a boy running around. I just feel like same sex siblings would be closer to each other. I may be wrong for thinking that. I just feel like when my girls grow up and they wanna talk boys or whatever, I don't think they would ask for girl advice from a boy. Just little things like that. With that said, congrats!

OH, and for the record, you can have a girlie girl who also likes to camp My oldest is probably the girliest girl you could meet (total opposite of me) but she loves playing in the mud, camping and outdoors-y stuff too

I would choose girl too. I have two daughters, my sister has two daughters and obviously my parents had two daughters. I love the female energy and the bond between sisters.

Oh and if your first was a boy i would choose boy. I have just witnessed same sex siblings to play better and be closer as time goes on. Plus the hand me downs
