CD Laundering Question

I have pocket diapers and I've got a pretty good wash routine going but my question is about drying the diapers. I always put my bamboo insert in the dryer unless they need to be sunned, but even then, with the humidity in the south they don't fully dry so I have to run them through the dryer anyway. However, I have never put my shells in the dryer because I read somewhere that the heat can cause the PUL to not be as waterproof, in other words makes the diapers leak. Is this true? I ask because I bought some used diapers (not from this site) and the lady mentioned that some of the snaps on the shells got damaged in the dryer (it was a simple fix) but I notice that the diapers I bought from her tend to leak and none of my other diapers do. What can I do other than replace the leaky diapers?

Re: CD Laundering Question

I have always dried everything in the dryer--including PUL covers and AIO with no issues. My covers and pockets are still going strong after 2 years of use, a few even longer.

Re: CD Laundering Question

I used to live in Seattle and had to put diapers and inserts in the dryer and never had a problem with leaks. Usually when I have leaks it's because the diapers are too big around the legs or the elastic has gotten stretched out. Now I live in AZ and can dry outside, but I'm mostly doing that to save money and still put in the dryer occasionally.
