Re: when did contractions begin?

I woke up to go to the bathroom at about 12:30am and afterwards my water broke. Contractions started about 45 minutes later.

Re: when did contractions begin?

with dd#2 contractions only started after my water broke, and they were instant (no soft ones, just hard and fast). My water broke at 8:01 pm exactly.
She was born at 3:49 am the next morning.

DD#1 was induced at 8am and I had full heavy contractions w/o meds until she was born at 8 that night.

I could only vote once and I voted late evening as that was my dd that wasn't induced.

Re: when did contractions begin?

I cant do the poll since I have multiple answers
my first I woke up in the morning with very mild contractions
my second it was early evening that I started with contractions
my third I was induced but it was in the morning
my fourth it was mid afternoon after drinking castor oil ( Dr was going to induce me)
my fifth it was early evening that contractions started.

I would say I tend to go more in the evening.

I know the feeling! I would always have contractions but i always thought real labor would never start. My husband gets even more impatient than me He says he feels like his life is on hold cause can't go very far from home, especially after having one that I only knew I was in labor 45 min. He's not going anywhere as he knows I can go quickly.

Re: when did contractions begin?

With my first it was early morning 4:45 a.m. that the contractions started, the doctor had to break my water around 3:00 and at 4:42 p.m. she was delivered emergency c-section. My second labor my water broke at about 11:30 p.m. I was laying in bed and thought I had lost bladder control at first. The contractions didn't start until 2:30 and she was born VBAC at 8:36 a.m.

I have to say that this is encouraging!!! I've been having contractions on and off for WEEKS, and I'm now 42w 3d, so you can imagine how I'm feeling!!

Re: when did contractions begin?

I was out shopping on my due date, water had broke but was only leaking (we did not know this) This was on a Wens afternoon.. That evening after we ate dinner, I laid down, and started having contractions.... Pretty consistent... Went the whole night having them at home.. The next day my doula came over in the AM, and I had taken a bath, contractions stopped!!! So I went all day Thursday with nothing until later on after I ate again.. Hard contractions... Then Thursday night got worse!! Friday morning they stopped!! I went to MD to be checked, make sure Baby was fine, he was, I was still having contractions just could not feel them. She stripped my membranes again (3rd time) and started the contractions again... Got home, and was in labor again!! Left home, went to Doulas house, did some positioning, was having leg pain, had to go back to Hospital, only to be in labor till Saturday morning to finally have baby... I was in Hard Labor for 31 hours, and did not realize water had broke Wens- Baby was fine, healthy, and everything.. Come to find out later why my labor was sooo long was cause he was wedged forhead back on my pelvis bone due to a pelvis positioning problem!!!
