Let's talk evaporation lines UPDATED

What are people's experience with them?

I bought some tests from someone here and have used them before with all negative results (previous cycles). Never had an evap line.

So, this morning I POAS and didn't see anything right away so I chucked it in the trash. An hour later or so I went pee again (lots of coffee this morning ) and I grabbed it and looked at it again...and there's the second line. Very faint but there.

Thoughts?????

Evaporation lines are a different color than the control line. So was it the same color?

they were both pink...different shades as one was very light but pink none the less.

I've had evaporation lines on some and not on others and its always been negative, just a variation in the test.

BUT, thats just my experience!

I hope thats not the case for you!

I never had evap lines with these tests - they're all from the same batch and brand. I can't remember if I ever had them with other brands, I don't think so, they were always positive. (2 m/c, one full term pg)

Thanks! I would test again tommorow. Evaporation lines have always been grey for me. (I vote pregnant )

I just had a nightmare of a testing frenzy.

I calculated AF wrong (one week off), so I thought AF was due/late......so of course I ran out and POAS.....lucky me, got not only one, but two faulty tests......they were the Clear Blue +/- tests.....but the weird thing is that the line showed up within the first 10 minutes.....but faded out and the dye only collected towards the left. I researched it on peeonastick.com and saw how alot of these tests have been reported to do the same thing. Anyway......I took another brand CVS comparable to the FRE and the same thing that happened to you, happened to me.....it was a blue line, but only showed up about a hour or so after....I was freakin out, like someone was playing a joke on me........needless to say, I tested with stark neg. and other crazy evap lines after that and then AF showed up as she was scheduled to. So I still don't know if it was just crap luck, a chemical pregnancy or what.....I just hate the not knowing.

I would just buy a more realiable test and do it again today or tomorrow.....if the line is valid, which is very well could be......it should come up with a more sensitive/reliable test.

ahhh...if only this were something we could vote on.

I actually have a drs appt this afternoon for something else so I think I'll see what they think...and continue to POAS.
