What to make with tuna??

I've got like 15 cans of albacore tuna and I have no clue what else to do with it besides make tuna sandwiches. I've never tried a tuna casserole, maybe ya'll can give me a good recipe for that. What else can I do with it? DH isn't to thrilled about tuna, so what is something that I can make that he might actually like? thanks!!

oh yeh im eating a tuna sandwich now..lol

Re: What to make with tuna??

My ex used to put it in mac and cheese. I think he put a can of cream of mushroom soup with it as well.

Re: What to make with tuna??

I don't know if this is going to sound nasty to you or not...but I got creative with my tuna salad.

First off...you toast your bread in the oven with some chedder (or any kind of cheese) on top so that the cheese melts and the bread toasts.

For the salad part, take about 1/4 of an onion and chop it up real fine. Add that to your bowl of tuna. Add about a tablespoon of mayo (real mayo...not miracle whip...YUCK!), and a little bit of pepper.

Spread it on your melted cheese toast and eat!! Yum!! I'm gonna have some for lunch today!!

Re: What to make with tuna??

Tuna casserole
1-2 cans tuna
2 eggs
1/2 - 1 cup mayo
lettuce, torn by hand any type
can of peas
1/2 an onion chopped
cheese or velveeta
bread

You can spray the bottom of your pan with no stick spray if you want. Layer part of the bread to cover bottom of the dish. Mix tuna, mayo, peas, (You can throw in any other veggies you want), lettuse torn into bite sixed pieces. Put on top of bread. Top with rest of bread. Beat eggs and pour over bread the top all with as much cheese as you have or want to use. I make this without a guide so if this is screwed up pm me. It tastes great! DH puts hot sauce on his!

Re: What to make with tuna??

I forgot 350 for about an hour. Cover til the last 10 minutes. Make sure your eggs sorta drip down into the casserole.

Re: What to make with tuna??

Here's our favorite tuna casserole recipe

1 package of wide egg noodles
1 small package frozen peas
2 cans tuna
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup milk
2-3T. butter
soul seasoning
shredded cheddar cheese
croutons

Cook noodles according to package directions. When almost full cooked add in frozen peas to warm through. Drain and put back in pot. Mix in drained tuna, cream of mushroom soup, milk, butter and a few shakes of soul seasoning.

Pour into a greased casserole dish and top with cheese, then croutons. Bake at 350 degrees till warmed through.

Another really easy one is this

Prepare 1 package of mac n cheese. After prepared to directions on box add 1 can cream of mushroom soup, 1 can drained tuna and stir. Pour into greased round casserole dish. Put shredded cheddar cheese on top and put in microwave for 5 minutes or a little more till cooked through

We also like to make tuna salad with mayo, sweet relish and finely chopped onion. We love to use Kashi crackers (the 7 grain) to dip in it.
