Re: Go. To. Sleep.

Isabel's just not a great sleeper, period. She usually goes down around 7, and is up within an hour, just needing to fall back to sleep with me on the bed. Then I put her back in her crib and if I'm lucky, she'll go until 10-11:00 before waking and wanting milk. So I just go to bed and bring her with me (her crib's still in our room) and then she wakes a couple more times but usually only briefly.

She had a few days with good naps (we're talking 1.5 hours in the a.m. and 2+ in the afternoon) and fewer night wakings, but now she's back to crappy sleep patterns and daily nap protests/avoidance. <sigh>

vick - that sounds a lot like molly. she's still not a great sleeper at 21 months, but her afternoon nap has gotten more organized (usually 1.5-2hrs) although it varies wildly what time it is. and same with her bedtime, but she's gotten a lot better - probably since 15-18months - at going down for the night (at whatever time) and going for several hours before waking again (rather than every 45-1.5 like it used to be).
