Wool mamas, would you have done interlock or knitted

if you could do it all again when your LO was crawling, cruising, and starting to walk. I am trying to decide it I want knitted longies or interlock longies for the Fall and Winter. I know that Sydney will probably be starting to walk or possibly walking well if she is like her brother and I can't decide which will hold up better esp if she is on her knees a lot. I will only be buying one or two pair of longies so I don't have to worry about losing a ton of $$ if she wears them out.

I have never used longies on a crawler/early walker. Thanks in advance. You know what they say, Hindsight is 20/20 so that is why I figured I would ask mamas who have already BTDT.

i know there's a few mama's who are deciding that they'd rather go interlock b/c their dc are too rough. i like knit, crochet and interlock right now. but for outdoor play i use strictly interlock. i would get 2 interlocks and 1 knit if i was you

Actually I would go even cheaper. Recycled wool. Shorties, longies, etc made out of felted wool sweaters. I just found a sweater at our local consignment shop to make longies for nighttime for dd. And maybe some interlock for going out somewhere nice where the baby will still be crawling around but you want a nicer outfit. Interlock holds up better than knit because knit snags on things and pulls. Personally, even though I knit, I will most likely go 100% interlock with the next one and use my knitting skills for making money selling stuff or for sweaters, hats, mittens, booties, etc for my babes.

I used knitted longies and they worked fine. I liked interlock with an elastic waist, but I had some Luxe longies with their pull-up waist like on their pull-ons, whic wasn't really snug on him, and he kept pulling it down when he crawled. If you do interlock, I've heard that Targhee is better for crawlers. I definitely wouldn't go with a merino.

I still like interlock for outdoors rough play.

Why spend a fortune on any? My wool knit longies that I buy are $25 new.My kiddos much prefer knitted to the interlock but we have some interlock for more dressy outings since my ds loves his wool so much.

I like knitted best for longies, crochet for skirtys, interlock for soakers or "gauchies" as dh calls them.

I'd probably go for more interlock b/c I think it keeps up better with wear and tear!
Although Knit is really nice too!

Re: Wool mamas, would you have done interlock or knitted

Knitted wool is totally strong enough to handle even the roughest crawler, cruiser. However, I like both for different reasons.

Wool interlock pants are great for mildly cold days/nights. They are also make nice alternatives to tights for under little girl dresses. I also like interlock wool for air conditioned summer nights.

Knit wool is super versatile and is excellent for around the house and when we're out & about on a cold or damp day/night. And, as I said before knit wool is surprisingly strong for rough play.

So, I vote for both!
