But we can't use NE, I've tried every kind they have and it makes ds red. According to pinstripesandpolkadots, aveeno is okay, but I'm afraid to use it with pockets What can I use? I don't want my fleece to repel!

have you tried Burt's Bee's? I used that before i bought NE and i never had a problem with my pockets and repelling....if you want to try it, i have a sample size tube i could send you

I use Earth's Best and I heard California Baby is supposed to be great. You could also just use lanolin cream.

We use EarthMama AngelBaby's Angel Baby Bottom Balm. Its a miracle worker, but sometimes it does leave these 'shadow' stains on. They eventually wash out, but I hate that. We had to find something though because DS has severe food allergies and as you can imagine trying different foods with him was miserable until we found the Angel Baby Bottom Balm.
It does not build up on the cloth diapers though and we haven't had any leaking, etc from it. You could use some fleece inserts though. I am beginning to wonder if all baby rash creams leave atleast "shadow" stains.

I will say that Angel Baby Bottom Balm is expensive, but it works! You only have to use a tiny amount too. We still have well over half a jar left.

I use hemp baby salve,from www.merryhempsters.com doesn't stain the diapers and knocks out diaper rash in hours

Same here! I was afraid that DS would be allergic to the Angel Baby Bottom Balm, but so far is doing okay. I guess that is why I put up with the shadowy stains. It is suppose to be all natural VEGAN.

I use Aquaphor with great results! DS is citrus sensitive, and sometimes what I eat seems to affect him.

Lots of mamas tell me its CD safe, although I've always used a liner. But my liners don't always cover where the ointment is, and I haven't had any problems.

It clears up his rashes faster than anything else I've used, too.

I just wouldn't use anything with tea tree oil in it... it is an irritant. (Burt's Bee's and I believe Butt Paste) Aveeno and Aquaphor are what I have and use tiny dabs of here and there. If it's bad enough you could SLATHER it on and use a few 'sposies... That is what I would do. I like the idea of liners too though. What if you could cut up and old pillowcase or something to make some throwaway cotton liners to stick in your dipes? (Hmmm, why didn't I think of that before????)
