I have bad cramping/pain and bleeding for the first few months with my pregnancies and I didn't think anything was different with that pregnancy. It wasn't until I couldn't sleep because of the pain that I went to the ER, I hadn't seen a Dr until that point. They did a blood draw that said I should be around 12wk (I thought I was around 5wk) and an US that showed no heartbeat. At that point I had the surgery.

Re: scared...hcg levels...anybody know anything about this?

This sort of happened to me - I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks exactly, that same night I started bleeding a little bit and cramping so we went to the ER. They did a vag. US and we saw SOMETHING but obviously no heartbeat that early. So we gave it a couple weeks I went for blood work every 3-4 days for 3 weeks it seemed. No heartbeat and the baby stopped growing around 5ish weeks. But, my numbers werent doubling however they were going up. And, they werent that high. I think at the ER it was 21 at 4 weeks, and then a few days later it was 70 - something, and then 140 so like I said going up but now like they wanted it to.

I hope it all works out, and please update us!

Re: scared...hcg levels...anybody know anything about this?

I had a tubal 4 years ago, and my numbers were never that high, not even in the thousands and I was estimated around 6 weeks. I also never got a pos on a pregnancy test at the doc's office with the tubal. The fact that your numbers are doubling is good. When I was preg with my daughter, I tested one week after ovulation and got a pos. My hgc was very high from the beginning of the pregnancy, and the doc did not see anything at 8 weeks and wanted to do a D&C for precaution. Well, I wanted a second opinion and I now have a 5 month old dd. My new doc doesn't do US until 12 weeks, and doesn't do them then, unless she has a reason. I got mine because they thought I may be having twins. This is also when she starts looking for heartbeat. It is still early, and all baby's develop in there own way. Waiting is the hardest part. Sending you .

My sister had this happen with her 1st DD. The baby was high in the uterus. they couldn't see the baby but her numbers were good. She knows has an almost 4 yr old DD.
