Re: Opinion on Bumbo's?
So you think its stupid because of the high price or because you see it being pointless? Those are two complete different things. Not being able to afford something doesn't necessarily make it stupid.
I got mine brand new at a yard sale for $3, my ds loves his seat when we do use it. But like any baby entertainer device i only use it sparingly. I mostly wear my ds but sometimes when cooking i don't want him to get burned so i put him in his bumbo. Even in the back carry i am afraid of popping oil, etc.. I just got my two friends bumbos for their baby showers and they loved the concept. They are pricey and i could think of better ways to spend $40 so if the money isn't there i definitely wouldn't blow it on a baby toy.

Re: Opinion on Bumbo's?
We had one and it was really cool to sit her in it before she could sit herself up but we probably only used it twice. She generally preferred the swing. Plus, this being the first baby in our family, she got TONS of clever items like that and we didn't always get around to using them all. Maybe the next baby will get more use out of it.

Re: Opinion on Bumbo's?
dd1 didn't love it so it didn't get taht much use. dd2 on the other hand is a fan. I'd like to have the tray. Now that dd1 sees dd2 in it she wants to be in it all the time. Go figure. So now i need 2, lol.

Re: Opinion on Bumbo's?
My DD loved it til she was mobile...but lately she's been sitting in it again...actually so has her furry sister
So our Bumbo gets a whole lot of use daily Oh and it seems to resist cat claws too. It was well worth the $30 I paid for it

Re: Opinion on Bumbo's?
Ds loved it, but they're not made for chunky babies and it was pretty much too small when we got it.

Re: Opinion on Bumbo's?
They are great for reflux babies, but I don't use it when I can't watch the baby cuz I have heard of babies popping themselves out of it. Jamal loved it, of course he had reflux really bad so upright was his best position and he hated the swing. I think they are really nice for taking pics of babies that can't sit up. I love the snow pic-of course the kitty pic is cute!

We had a Bumbo and loved it
. Just sold it today. I bought it for K when he was 3-4 months old. We used it daily until recently. I fed him his breakfast in it everyday. I never used it on a counter top. Only on the floor and when feeding him his breakfast on the coffee table. But never left his side while in it. K never tried to get out of it, until recently. I bought it at BRU for $40 and bought the only color that they had instock, aqua. But I can understand how some people don't get it. My mom asked what it was for when I first bought it. And then said just for sitting in? And I certainly didn't tell her how much I paid for it! Here's a picture of K sitting in it, Easter 2005. ![]()
