Are pockets overkill for newborns?

My 2nd son was 9lbs 10oz at birth and could fit into the xsmalls for aprx. 2 weeks then moved on to the smalls. The smalls fit until about 3-4 months when he moved on to mediums. I wouldn't get the xsmalls again just because my kids tend to be large and the smalls would have probably fit him from birth...

I have a big baby too...the Snap Ez small pockets were my fav when he was a newbie, but I loved the fitteds too so who can say?

I'm not a big pocket fan and loved kissaluv 0's on my DS as a newborn with bummis or prorap covers, pretty easy IMO and less prep work.
