What do you suggest for out and about?

I was thinking about what good out-and-about diapers are, and I think that I have it narrowed down to gDiapers, BumGenius AIOs, or Fuzzi Bunz. Which would be trimmest/cost-effective/portable/DH-friendly?

For home use, I'm going with Mother Ease OS, prefolds, and homemade wool covers (working on my first now!)

I always used BG AIOs when they fit him He's grown out of the large. I loved how they rolled up so tiny. I could easily fit two in my bag at all times, and three if needed. I also have used FBs and I still think BG AIOs are the smallest to store in your bag, and easy to put on anywhere.

Never tried BG AIO's, but will put my vote towards the FB's. Right now we are fixing the stash to just pockets mostly FB's and 1 dozen toddler prefolds and that is it. I hope! I'm going to catch a ride on that wagon any day now.

Re: What do you suggest for out and about?

I ordered some gdiapers for this purpose and returned them. It seemed confusing to have these diapers for dh and other caregivers as they velcro "to the back"/backwards from normal.

Betw your other two choices, I'd say FB is your dc is a really heavy wetter, so you can stuff as much as you need and have no loose lay-in doublers or such. I'm not a big AIO fan, so we use the BG pocket (and a FB).

I'd say G-diapers with flats or Infant PF's...
They definetly wont take up a lot of room in the diaper bag..

We just use what we have. FBs, GADs & SDF. Just whatever is on the top I grab and stick in the bag to go. The only thing we don't use that we have are our 3 SB AIOs (not absorbent enough) and fitteds w/wool.

Re: What do you suggest for out and about?

I've only been doing this for a week, but I have been using the BG AIO to go out. Love them! They've just been the easiest to throw in the bag. The FB would be fine too, but I think the AIO will take up a little bit less room.
