I am considering doing pf's and covers...

am I crazy for desiring this change from mostly AIO's to a cover and pf? LOL

I do have 3 covers and some prefolds we sometimes us and I think I like them so much for the ease of drying LOL I must me totally crazy as I have mostly AIO's and they took a LONG time to build up a good stash of them and now I am "out" of the AIO's and wanting to be more simple.

Wow, check my head. Do I have a temperature?

Ok, I am really lazy and don't even want to get pics of the dipes I want to sell, up load them to the computer, re-size them and then go through the hassle of selling them here.

Where the HECK is my easy button!

Re: I am considering doing pf's and covers...

You are not crazy

I spent
$18 on 8 cpfs
$13 on a dozen flats
$3.50 on a med prorap
$4 on 4 wool sweaters at the thrift store (made shorts. covers and longies
$18 on wool care stuff
$12 on a stanicator cover
Total- 68.50

I'm going to sell 6 of my solid HH's to cover the cost -
and I grab my flats and cpf's before my pockets!!! They can be soooo trim and the wool is so nice in the Hotlanta summer

I was straight pockets for a while - had to do fitteds with a crat for overnight
and then thought what the heck - I'll try old school stuff and really like it!
I still use my pockets some (it is all DH will use) - but love my old school fluff!

If your AIOs still fit why not put them up for a while and use your prefolds. If you find you really love them long term then you an sell off the AIOs. That way you don't have to worry about selling now, and no worries about seller's remorse.

I love prefolds and covers. I could easily do them 24/7 if needed, BUT since I have a nice variety of dipes I like using them all, lol.

Re: I am considering doing pf's and covers...

When I started CDing, it was all about $$. So, I have mostly cpfs and covers. I use them almost exclusively and it doesn't bother me at all. As a matter of fact, I have to stop myself from buying cute covers all the time! I prefer it to pockets and aios because I can use the same cover most of the day. He looks adorable in a cover w/matching tshirt! I have 3 pockets and 2 aios for my husband to use. I also have 2 fitted which rarely get used. I recently bought 6 Kissaluv contours and my husband will use those with a cover, but he will only trifold a prefold w/a cover. I like the contours as they are trim. I agree with the pp who said to give the cpfs a shot and make sure you like them before selling off your stash. Good luck!
