Diaper Swappers

I've never cd'd a newborn before...

He/She will be breastfed baby and wearing fitted dipes and prefolds.

Do I want fleece liners or absorbant doublers?

I am a pocket gal but I'm going to give this a shot and hope that others correct me if I'm wrong. Fleece liners would help pull moisture away from baby's skin allowing him/her to feel dry. doublers increase absorbancy so they do two different jobs. I think I remember seeing that BabyKicks makes a fleece lined doubler which sounds interesting.

i loved having both. i used fleece all the time, doublers only if the dipe needed it.

I would say yes too. The dipes help up well on their own for the first couple of weeks, but now they are starting to leak a bit more and we are adding in some extra soakers. We use babykins AIO which must have a doubler now and our kissaluvs are just getting there. I am planning on making some liners soon too for them just to keep him drier. On thing that has helped us get rid of his diaper rash is to pat him down with a dry fleece wipe after we clean him with a wet one. That has seemed to help a lot, so i am not sure if the liners are necessary, but I am sure they won't hurt
