supplements for breastfeeding

Hi,

I *think* I had a clogged milk duct, and read on the internet that taking Lecithin as a supplement will help keep the ducts clear. Has anyone had any experience with this? What I had, was a knot on the side of one of my breasts, and I just nursed the baby like crazy that day, and it went away.

TIA for any information you might have. I just want to be sure it's ok to take this, and for how long I should take it.

You don't really have to take anything as long as you get it gone in a fast amount of time. Just be sure to nurse nurse nurse this will get it gone. Also you may want to try various positions to help get those out! good luck, hope you feel better soon!

Thanks to all that answered! I was feeling much better by the end of the day, nursed a bunch and put my feet up. From what I read, rest and a lot of nursing should help in the early stages.
