My Mood:
Not eating enough..??

My son is 3 1/2 months old and weighs 15 lbs(last week when I weighed him) and he only eats about 5-6 times a day...I mean he's gaining weight and I feed him on demand but for the "normal" BF baby, they normally eat a lot more...Is this anywhere near normal..I mean I keep thinking, he's gaining weight, he's meeting milestones and seems content after is he ok?? He also sleeps through the night too..

Re: Not eating enough..??

He's fine. Really. He's not doing what the "AVERAGE" baby does, but he is NORMAL. And don't be surprised if that sleeping through the night business comes and goes with growth spurts. And from the pic in your Avi, he looks nice and plump too.

Re: Not eating enough..??

ditto the above - you're just fine!

my son (now 6 months) slept 5+ hours at a time from 3 days of life (and yep, it all went out the window when we hit a few growth spurts - but his schedule was back eventually). he eats 4-6x a day and rarely wakes at night. he's rarely eating every 2 hours (only sometimes during the days) and has never (except for aforementioned growth spurts) woken every 2 hours at night to eat.
