Soaking Peace Fleece in conditioner?
I am going to try this, but I'm a little nervous. Is there anyone out there with experience to tell me what you did? Is there a particular kind of conditioner to use? How much? How long?
TIA!!!

Re: Soaking Peace Fleece in conditioner?
Well, I had an "accident" with wool and conditioner that actually ended up being pretty great!
I have a peace fleece soaker that DD wore when she was much younger. It got poo on it one day, so I was soaking it in cool water in the sink. I was on the phone and went to put what I THOUGHT was Johnsons baby shampoo in the water, but it was actually Johnsons KIDS conditioner. I squirted a ton in, and when I started swishing the water and didnt see any suds, I suddenly figured out what I'd done. I cried. I thought I had for sure ruined my cute rainbow soaker. My husband rescued it from the sink about 10 minutes later, rung it out and laid it flat on our vanity counter. He said "dont freak out...lets just see what happens". I couldnt believe it when it dried and was SUPER soft! We ended up using it for 2 more months before she outgrew it, and to spite the conditioner incident, it stayed bulletproof! So, I'd say Johnsons Kids Conditioner is safe (LOL).

Re: Soaking Peace Fleece in conditioner?
I have soaked mine in my regular hair conditioner. I have 4 soakers/shorts made of peace fleece, so I have done this a few times. And I'm making another pair right now!
You just need to make sure that to dissolve the conditioner in really hot water and then add it to the water and then put your item in there. Let it soak overnight and then wash/lanolize as usual. I never measured out how much though.

Re: Soaking Peace Fleece in conditioner?
Will the conditioner stretch out something that is a bit too snug?
