MIni Pill

I have just got on the mini pill and my boobs have been killing me. My nipples are tender and I really have been not wanting to nurse it so uncomfortable. Dd2 is 7 months and we have not had problems before. Dh is about to deploy again or we wouldn't be on the pill Has anyone else had this problem? Does it get better or should I stop the pill?

It gets better...keep nursing! Slowing down nursing will make it even worse, AND affect your volume. NURSE NURSE NURSE! I promise it gets better.

As soon as I went on the mini pill, my milk supply started to drop. It was basically the beginning of the end for my 2nd DS and I. Not everyone is that sensitive to the hormones, but I wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole myself!

It sounds like you're having sensitivity as a side effect of the hormones. It may or may not go away - just depends on HOW sensitive you are.

Ugh, I hated the mini pill. I never had that problem with my breasts but I could not stop spotting at all. I really didn't have the time to go in and change a pad or anything so I went off the pill a little less than a month after I started taking it.
I would keep going for now, though, if you want to be on it.

OMG I was just sitting here nursing dd, in agony, and found this thread. I have been on the mini pill for three weeks and my nipples are killing me! She is 17 1/2 months but is a very avid nurser. I think I'll stop taking it.

I was on the mini pill and it caused PPD to kick in. I was fine until my 6 week appointment then started not wanting to get out and etc. I didn't even realize it until I quit the pill and it was like night and day in how I felt. I will never get on hormonal BC again.

We are using NFP and BBT stuff to avoid hormones. It made my moods totally out of whack and I swear I've never been so tired in my life! It didn't drop my supply though so that was nice!

You can get anIUD from planned parenthood. Just so you know I tried to get one and they couldn't get it in. It HURT I would rather have another child and both my births were drug free.
