Anybody else "solo parenting" this weekend?

DH is gone for work this weekend (he's a photographer...gone taking pics at a baseball tournament)...he's leaving in 30 minutes, and will get back around midnight on Sunday.

Leaving me carless, of course.

Anybody else home with the kids and no other grownup this weekend? We can cry on each other's shoulders!

my dh is both a chef and a bartender, at the same place, he might as well live there. he is working a double today 10am-2am and he is working noon-3am saturday and sunday so he might as well not sleep here. He has to do it thought to pay off and advance we took off his check. its really sucks because I need help around the house right now because we have firends visiting in a week.

Re: Anybody else "solo parenting" this weekend?

I have to admit, times like this I wish I had more of an IRL support system...I have friends and family in the area, but most of my close friends live at a distance -- my two IRL best friends are 1 hr and 6 hrs away -- my mom is 2 hrs away -- and the local friends/family aren't really the kind of people you can call on for help, kwim? They'd be there in an emergency, sure...but we're not that close.
