Arrow Alright DS Mamas- Help me organize my diapers

I've been CDing for 6 months now and still have trouble keeping my stash organized. I got baskets to help but they don't. Everything ends up in laundry baskets or the packnplay and it takes me forever to find what I'm looking for. How do you all stay on top of the constant cycle of diapers. Could ya let me in on your system? Even better do you have pictures? I just love to CD but I would love it even more if they weren't always in a pile.

Thanks

Kate

Here is pictures!

Odd..pictures won't stick here?!?!

Here is a link to my photobucket:

I am supposed to be getting diapers photographed to sell but have wanted to do this awhile! Overlook the dresser it is the perfect hieght for me to use as a changing table (have to bend over regular changing tables)It was a yard sale find that I never painted the barn red color I wanted to.I decided I liked the character it had..I should probably peel the stickers off though LOL!

Top right socks, under that soft sole shoes
Top left extra inserts under that covers
Middle deep drawer: Doublers and Daisy Doodles snap-ins
Long drawer: Current diapers that we use that have pul
Not pictured is anther long drawer on bottom that has more diapers that we don't reach for (to big,to small etc)

In hanging cubbies are fitteds and wool, slings clothes etc. There is also a pocket organizer that is between the dresser and hanging cubbies this is where I keep small wetbags, frogg Jelly (when my husband remembers to put it back..grrr.. as well as other small oddball things)

Dresser top houses wipes warmer with water and dry wipes I wet as needed.

Not pictured is the diaper pail, diapers in the wash and some fitteds that I need to move clothes to make room for.

Re: Alright DS Mamas- Help me organize my diapers

This is where I put dds diapers. I love it and it holds alot of diapers!!! Plus wash more often, I wash every time my diaper pail gets full. That way I'm only washing 25 or so diapers, so I can put them away quickly. Also I only buy pretty diapers that I love. So I love looking at them and putting them away.

Re: Alright DS Mamas- Help me organize my diapers

Here's my setup:

the top two small drawers have thermometers, ointments and other non-diaper related items
  • the middle pull out drawer has fitteds (I've got a few more to fit in there somehowLOL)
  • the bottom pull out has wash cloths (i keep some cheap ones in there in case we have messes or whatever that I need a quick wipe up for), BP snap ins, doublers, and my extra inserts
  • the side drawer has pockets and AIOs
  • on top of the table in the basket are the BG AIOs, put on top for DH 'easy to get to, easy to use'. Had to do this b/c he started using sposies b/c he couldn't sort through and find the 'easy' dipes in the side drawer.
  • on the tv tray is a basket with FB and a basket with covers (BP, WWB, wool, etc.)

this works for now -- once we get longies in I'm not sure... but I'm also pruning down the # of diapers I have (supposedly) so...

diaper pail and trash can are beside the changing table to the right... lotion and hand sanitizer are on the window sill... I need a slightly smaller basket on the top, but that's the best basket I have for now. I've got to stop buying dipes to buy a new basket LOL

hth!

eta - I love washing and stuffing and putting my dipes away, so maybe that helps me stay organized...

Re: Alright DS Mamas- Help me organize my diapers

Baskets work good for me! After a laundry day, I just put all the diaps in one laundry basket, and then put them in wicker baskets.

There's 2 rows of baskets on each shelf of the changing table. Each basket is very full.

You could most likely use baskets for prefolds too mama. if you're not against walmart they usually have cute organizing containers in the home/housewares department. Or you can get different shaped baskets out of the craft section. HTH. If I sell enough of my dipes to get a good stash of prefolds built up I might do it myself. I have 3 right now and 12 coming.
