What detergent do you use on cloth diapers and why?

i used to use simple green & washing soda and had slight stink from time to time...but it was the best for us. i also used to use sportwash, which works great for us too, but i had to rinse way tooo many times.

i discovered A&H essentials and LOVE LOVE LOVE it, no stink whatsoever, no buildup, no suds after xtra rinse, and i can use it on my clothes.

we've tried purex & all f/c and both ended up not cleaning well for us.

oh and on dipes that have been sitting i've been doing two glugs of bac-out

I find Purex F&C in our local Wally World! We use it because we've tried other detergents and it seems to do the best with my son's skin and the diapers seem to be doing just fine too.

Well its kind of hard because i use purex/All/ and basically any free and clear and sometimes dawn too

I use Allens. When I first started CDing two years ago, I did a search here and on the Pin and after hours and hours of reading, it seemed that people had the least amount of problems with Allens so I bought a box of it and I've been using the same box for 2 years - there is still some left . I've had no problems whatsoever, I've never needed to strip, I don't get stains. So, I'll likely buy another box of Allens when this one runs out.

I use purex beacuse my walmart carries it.

I use Allen's now. I used to use All F&C and it built up on my diapers. Some of you may remember my attempt at getting them stripped. I love Allen's! I do have a front loader, so it is much easier to use too much soap.
