Okay--I have researched this topic on so many lists, and some seem to contradict one another--so I was wondering if you guys could help me.
I've been washing my dipes with "Purex All and Clear." Is this okay to use? Some sites were saying that anything 'all and clear' was great, especially for babes with sensitive skin--but then others were saying not to use anything 'all and clear'. Anyway, what do you use? What seems to work best for the longevity of the diapers? I have AIOs and AI2s (VB, Bumkins, Bum-Ware) and some WAHM dipes. Should they all be washed together? Can they be washed with my prefolds/covers? Thanks so much for any advice!! |

Re: Washing diapers?
If it's working for you I'd go with it! I use Tide, I think it's on everyone's "do not use" list. It cleans well, rinses fine, doesn't give my dd a rash, I don't care if it has perfumes, it just smells like the rest of our laundry. I use prefolds, pockets & a couple fitteds. I don't really care about longevity of the diapers, she's our last and she's over 2 yrs old, if they go another year that's fine, that's the most we'd need. I wash & dry all of ours together (but I made all but the prefolds). I'd check manufacturer's washing instructions for wash/dry temps on yours because I'm not familiar with all of those.

Re: Washing diapers?
This link might confuse you even more but it's good info. to have handy. IMO
http://pinstripesandpolkadots.com/detergentchoices.htm I used Fab for almost 4 years then my "stash" ran out and I've switched to Tide. So far so good. I've never had to "strip" diapers but I have no idea if I have hard or soft water.
