Diapers on a Newborn *LOTS* of pics

I've been snapping pictures of my newborn in all the different types of diapers I have and I thought I would share. Maybe it'll help if you're looking for diapers and if not you got to love a new baby in fluff. DS was 9 lbs at birth - dropped to 8 lbs 5 oz and was 9 lbs 8 oz at 2 weeks so these pictures are all between 8 1/2 - 10 lbs.

Newborn Swaddlebees...
I really like these but at 3 weeks he's outgrown them so for a smaller baby I think they would be really great.

Kissaluvs 0...
These are great diapers. They are soft, fit great, and are still plenty big enough.

Xsmall Sandy's...
I love these diapers and plan on replacing pretty much all the diapers he outgrows with Sandy's. I put a hemp doubler in and they work great for longer periods of time like overnight. (he's now able to wear the smalls and they fit great without being too bulky)

Newborn Prefold...
Once again these didn't fit my big baby long to get a nice fit but they are getting great use trifolded in thirsties covers or as doublers with infant prefolds. (someone better at folding and maybe pinning them could get a longer life though probably) I loved not having to fold any down in the front/back to put them on him though.

Small Front Snap PeeWell...
Love these! I'm now using one every night and they last the entire night - wet in the morning but still doing well.

Small Side Snap PeeWell...
This diaper was ok, but the fit wasn't great. He's outgrown the diaper now. I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that it's the type she did before changing the side snap a bit or not. But I think I'll stick to the front snapping ones.

Small Fitted from Morning Glory...
This is a great diaper and SOOOO soft. Love it.

Small Fuzzi Bunz...
I love the look of these on him, but I think I'm going to stay away from pockets. I got these as a gift otherwise I would have stuck with fitteds/pfs. But I have no complaints.

Pinned Infant Prefold...
One of my first attempts of pinning - my first attempt I ended up bleeding...but thankfully it was me and not him. (this has a newborn trifolded inside being why it looks a bit more bulky)

Xsmall Thirsties Cover of Infant Prefold...
These are great covers. I really like these and although I don't have a picture I love my Mother-Ease Air Flow covers as well. I use Thirsties during the day time only and I always use a MEAF for night time. He has also pretty much outgrown the xsmalls and now I'm using smalls as they fit much nicer.

Crochet Soaker...
I love me some wool on a newborn.

Sm/Med Luxe...
This is still big on him around the legs so it's gone away till it fits him a bit better.

Mother-Ease One Size...
Fits alright and doesn't seem to gap in the legs or anything but the heiny is saggy and it's a bit bulky.

Baybee One Size...
For being a one size this is a pretty trim one and fits him really well.

Muttaqin 3 Rise One Size...
Very bulky and I don't like the fit of this diaper much. I am on the 2nd rise with him.

SOS...
Very absorbant but they are extremely bulky on ds and they gap at the top. They might be better when he gets bigger, but I don't care much for them right now.

Baby Beehinds Bamboo...
This is sooo soft and seems to fit him really well. Although I have not had a single poo leak in any of my diapers up until this diaper - could be something with how much he pooped, but I'll be interested to see if it happens again. The legs just don't seem to get tight enough to contain it so well.

Bumwear One Size...
Again I don't care much for the fact that this is a pocket. It seems to work just fine. It's a big large on him yet. I defintely don't see this diaper working on a baby smaller than 9 or 10 lbs.

Oh and I missed my Thirsties fitted so if I think of it I might change him into that next and update this afterwards. Sorry if that's too many. Hopefully it will help. I know there's been a lot of talk especially about One Size Diapers on small babies. So here are a bunch of them.

ETA:

Ok here are the two I was missing...

Small Thirsties Fitted...
Name is misleading to me. I think they are very poor in how much they hold, but the fit is pretty decent.

Extra Small Mother-Ease Air Flow...
Love these covers. I don't have a single complaint about them.

*sob* I miss those teeny tiny newborn days! Those pics seriously choked me all up. What a sweet, handsome little guy you have there. And what a great idea to take pics of all the different brands! That's especially helpful with the one-size dipes.

What an awesome thread mama! Those pictures are great and very helpful. I'm not actually shopping for newborn sizes just yet, but hopefully I will be soon!
