Grapefruit Seed Extract &/or TTO

Do these do the same type of thing when used in washing dipes? What is GSE used for? I'm thinking about getting some, but didn't know if it's worth the expense when I already have TTO. Thanks!

I got some GSE, but it seems think to me, i don't know, but we are using it for the antibacterial factor since my oldest has TTo issues and even though I wasn't washing her clothes in it, it was in the washer getting on her clothes, etc. But yeah, from my understanding they do the same thing.

I was looking on Thumbelina's site last night and she had a silk spray that is supposed to be antibacterial, has anyone tried it, i think i wanna get some... Sorry if that was a hijack, but kinda/pretty much the same topic, right?

My understanding is that the buggies can build up a resistance to TTO over time, but that GSE doesn't seem to have that issue. This is from some brief reading online, haven't made a research project out of it. Also, GSE is not nearly as pungent as TTO, and some people's skin is very sensitive to TTO. To me, the odor alone is enough to prefer GSE, but that's just me.

GSE is used for it's natural ability to kill unwanted bacteria and fungi, without affecting the "good" bacteria that we need to fight off infection. It is non-toxic and can be taken internally, used externally, in cleaning, and also in laundry.

I love love love both! I love GSE a little more It has antifungal/ antibacterial germ killing power. Plus one little bottle last forever.
