If you *know* wool, please read

What is hands down the softest option for using wool as a cover? I can't stand scratchy and willing to pay for softness. I got a WCW in the mail and love it.....but the cuff still have that scratchy feel to me....so what's my softest option in wool world?

Merino, BFL, or just make sure to lanolize a lot, that adds softness to any wool cover.

I agree, Merino and BFL seem to be the softest I've found so far. To make wool softer too, try soaking it in water with some hair conditioner overnight and letting it lay flat to dry. I had some Peace Fleece longies that were SUPER scratchy, we soaked them overnight (12 hrs.) a couple of times over several weeks and they ended up almost as soft as the Merino wool.
