we need help!!

our dd just started some solids and now only poops every other day, making her "movements" extremely messy and large. (tmi) they are not quite solid but very thick and mushy. ( i know) how do we take care of these diapers? i just handed one of these dipes to my dh to "dunk & swish" and he put the whole thing in the toilet. was he suppose to? when we move (end of July) we will buy a sprayer, but what do we do until then?

TIA!!

I think you need some liners. You can use fleece, but the poo will still stick if it's very mushy. But you take that out and dunk and swish. You can also get flushable liners. I think Imse Vimse?
Fleece is good, because you can get it cheap, and cut it to fit your dipes, you don't need to sew.

without a sprayer, it's pretty nasty and messy, but I just dunk and swish, and kind of bang it on the inside of the toilet. Eventually it comes off.

Re: we need help!!

You can use a long handle veggie scrubber to push the poop into the toilet. Just keep it away from the veggies

I tend to just dunk and flush, though. My kids would find too many uses for a veggie scrubber in the bathroom

Re: we need help!!

we have used flushable liners ..very nice. Imse Vimse liners are for sale right now for $2.50 a box from i think keegans mommy.....

we have also used throw away liners from Gerber..commercially available from BRUs or elsewhere.

I do tend to stick most of the dipe in the toilet, depends on how smeary thte poop was

I feel your pain! K poops once a day, during her afternoon nap. I'm going to try to talk my husband into installing a DIY sprayer.

I'd say in the meantime use the Imse Vimse liners if you want convenience, fleece liners if you want to re-use.
