WOW MAMA thank you so much I just got my IPF from a great ds mama and tried one, thought ok that needs some practice

then came on-line read your instrux(watched too

wow that helped) went and did your fold and voila!!!!!!! perfection

she is gorgeous-must look just like her smart mama

by the way that is only the second time in my life I have folded a pre-fold (u rock!!)

Disclaimer: This is exactly the first time I have tried this, and immediately took pictures to post. So, it has not been time-tested.

I use the OPs fold on back as well as front, but turn the diaper over before inserting baby. This leaves the open part of the trifold seam on the outside, instead of inside. The big improvement, IMHO, is that this orientation creates a natural waistband and allows the Snappi to keep a nice tension all around the thigh area, instead of leaving the legs very open. Here are a few pictures of the finished product in a complimentary Little Lions dyed PF.

That looks awesome! What a great idea for getting a better fit on a small baby, love the purple pf too!!!

One more thing I want to add to this... Since I have been using this fold on a daily basis, I have made one improvement. It seems to make for a better fit if you fold out the wings from farther down. It seems to prevent that "square butt" look and fit more like boy shorts than a bikini... here is an example of what I mean:

Thanks so much, Ooey! I'm one who really wants to use prefolds but haven't had much success. I think this will raise my success ratio.

I'm glad you posted this, because that's almost EXACTLY how I do my PFs (well, I don't fold over the back, i fold over the front, but that's not the point) and I wondered if there was a better way, but obviously I do it as well as an EXPERT

I just came in here to say that I was going to sell my Snappis because I thought I would never learn how to put a prefold on DD.

BUT I have successfully put this fold on her, and it's perfect!

Believe it or not, I'm thinking of selling some of my pockets to fund more cpfs and covers.
