Washing

I am fairly new to this CDing thing, so here is my question... My stash is slowly getting built up, but, will it hurt to have to wash everyday? And how often do my covers need washing? I have a ton of prefolds, that I will use, but, do I need to wash my covers after ever use?? How long is it okay to let the dipes set. Im afraid my water bill is going to go through the roof, as well as electric with washing a load every night. Can I do a bigger load every other day?? Any tips are wanted!!

You can definitly go more then washing every night. We wash every 3 days here...or when the pail is full. As for the covers I use them for a day and then throw in the pail, but if they're soiled from a poopy diaper they go straight in the pail.

I wash when I go through all my covers. I have 6 for each kid, bummis super whisper wraps. So I have 3 out at a time, rotating them with each wet diaper but if it get's pooped on in the pail it goes. So I'm normally washing on Mondays and Thursdays. Sometimes more depending on who's pooping alot, lol!

OK so let me make sure ive got it. I have about 8 covers now, so I could use 3-4 a day and as long as they are not poopy Im good... I just have to convience the daycare to resuse the covers Ive told them a hundred times ,but, they just dont listen!!! So after a pee the change covers and let that one air dry if it is wet??
