I think this is my goal for today too. Well, that and don't kill the in-laws when we visit. It might traumatize DD.

Part of me hopes it goes well. Then there is another part that would just like to go off on MIL and SIL knowing that I can then burst into tears, leave and let DH blame it on the pg hormones later Course, that would be hard to squeeze into DD's trip to the bathroom, but I am tempted to try.

Re: Getting ready for baby- procrastinators post here!!

EDD 8/12...

Well, I barely got anything done today. I threw out some more items in the office and packed away just a few things that need to be put somewhere else (in our new office area, where ever that is). I have a HUGE list of things that we need to get done so far. It's scary!!
  1. Clean out office completely by Sunday (we are enlisting the help of my mama- the ULTIMATE in clean-up.
  2. Move in baby furniture (waiting in the garage)
  3. Finish packing all the bags
  4. Get the Pack-n-Play down and cleaned up
  5. Get the infant carseat down and cleaned up
  6. Sort out GN clothing and get it all washed
  7. Order supplies for baby announcements
  8. Order supplies for "Welcome Baby" party
  9. Pre-register at the hospital
oh, there is MUCH more on my list, but I can't bear to type it all out...

Re: Getting ready for baby- procrastinators post here!!

Goodness, there's so much to do, but I've got 21 weeks left, so I'm not to stressed. My EDD is Nov 28th. I do have a carseat ready though ETA: My biggest problem is that I always get everything done too early and then go stark raving mad at the end from boredom. Well, not boredom, but anxiety

- potty train ds1 and dd2 (this is a bigger stress than everything else added together!)

- get dd2 to sleep in a toddler bed

- find newborn dipes in the garage, which leads to the next one . . .

- clean out garage so I can find dipes

- find newborn clothes, and buy cold weather newborn clothes

- clean out the kids' closets so there's room for newborn clothes

- make and freeze a bunch of meals

- keep fighting with the school district to get my special needs son into the right school

- get all my Christmas shopping done by October - I don't even want to have to think about it after the baby's born

- find a name (well, find out the gender first! LOL)

- pack my bag

- make arrangements for my three older kids during delivery

I would list cleaning the house, but let's face it, I'm not even going to try this far away from my EDD. It's just going to get messy again and I'll have to do it yet again. And there's so many more things than this, but why stress about it? Chances are that things will work out whether I do the little things or not.

Re: Getting ready for baby- procrastinators post here!!

Ok so here it goes:
1. Need to buy a new crib.
2. Finish up my newborn stash.
3. Buy more socks.
4. Organize older DD's room so I can put the crib in there.
5. Buy DD's bunkbeds so we have more room.
6. Buy a carseat and buy new ones for the older kids.
8. Get her a dresser.
The list goes on and on...
