Re: Getting ready for baby- procrastinators post here!!

I have 2 weeks until my due date! Now just 6 days! (August 26th) And we are were expecting the LO to come a little early. So I have the bulk of everything done.

-Make phone number list for DH to call everyone.
-Buy stuff to make announcements & get started on them.
-Buy swing and get it assembled.
-Clean out the car & install carseat.
-Clean out closet.
-Sort through my clothes for stuff I want to wear once I get my body back!
-Buy snugglenest.
-De-clutter!

Is this pregnancy ever going to end? I've been so busy with classes (which resumed August 7th) that I haven't really gotten around to anything! Hopefully I will make progress soon!

Re: Getting ready for baby- procrastinators post here!!

I've gotten a little more done this week, and had to post the progress A friend of mine just lent us three garbage bags full of infant boy winter clothes, so we're set! I got them sorted out and it doesn't look like we need to buy anything for a couple months. I finally got DH to install the closet doors in two of the bedrooms, and the kids' clothes rearranged to make room. The carseat is out of the box, inspected and I'll be prewashing the cover in the next couple days. I finished up a bunch more baby crafts and there's nothing more that I feel like I have to make. So I crossed a few more off my list and it feels great!

- potty train ds1 and dd2 (this is a bigger stress than everything else added together!)
- get dd2 to sleep in a toddler bed
- find newborn diapers in the garage, which leads to the next one . . .

- clean out garage
- find newborn clothes, and buy cold weather newborn clothes
- clean out the kids' closets so there's room for newborn clothes

- make and freeze a bunch of meals
- keep fighting with the school district to get my special needs son into the right school
- get all my Christmas shopping done by October - I don't even want to have to think about it after the baby's born - Mostly done!
- find a name
- pack my bag
- make arrangements for my three older kids during delivery
-order postpartum mama cloth
- sort and wash newborn clothes
- make boyish newborn fluff & woolies
- get my workroom cleaned out

- make buntings, blankets & other assorted baby stuff
- prep diapers

- lanolize covers (Just ordered lanolin and stuff today)

Re: Getting ready for baby- procrastinators post here!!

I sorted through my son's toys (oh, man am I glad I did!) and I ordered an MTB mei tai and I bought the diaper bag I've been drooling over for years... Still waiting for baby to come.

I still keep getting strong, regular contractions but they don't stick, they peter out after a while. Had an acupuncture appt this morning, hopefully that'll get things moving.
