Reparing elastic

Is there a general tutorial on how to do this?

I have a lot of used/ffs dipes that probably will need elastic repair- but I don't necessarily think I can tell until my baby arrives, though I'd love to take care of this while I'm less busy!

Especially- can I sew on elastic to fitteds/ pockets from the outside, or do I need to open it up?

Here's one for fitteds: http://sewdiapers.com/showthread.php?p=140#post140

Also...if you are just using them for you and don't care how they look, you can sew the elastic to the inside of the diaper. It's not pretty, but it works. I've done it and just used a strip of fleece on top of the elastic to make it more comfortable. HTH!
