Re: How long did you breastfeed?

I had to stop cold turkey at 14 months but not by choice. It was due to the extraordinary amount of pressure I was getting from everyone. The Hubby being number one pressure maker. It was so bad that my marriage was in the brink of divorce. That's what happens when children grow into ignorant adults that think breasts are for the husband to enjoy and not to produce milk. I had no support from anyone IRL and it was an uphill battle from the moment The Kid turned one month (the maximum they think a child should be breastfed). I'm glad I lasted as long as I did and wish I was still BF since there are times that I know he would have benefitted from it. It hurts when you have no support system at all and those that are nearest and dearest to you are the ones causing you the most trouble.

Re: How long did you breastfeed?

My ds will be 2 on Saturday & is still going strong. I essentially believe in CLW, but I am going to start "don't offer, don't refuse" because AF still hasn't returned and we are going to ttc soon.

Re: How long did you breastfeed?

With dd #1 only 6 months due to supply and lack of support
dd#2 still nursing at almost 21 months.
I plan on trying to stop at 2 years.

Re: How long did you breastfeed?

DD1 is still nursing at 35 months, and DD2 is nursing like crazy at 10.5 months. Neither have any plans to stop anytime soon.

Re: How long did you breastfeed?

DD was 18 mos. when she self-weaned. I was totally heartbroken and cried for 2 weeks about it.

I can't wait to BF my new little one coming in a few weeks!!!
