Someone just mentioned companies that offered health insurance with part-time jobs....starbucks, etc. Does anyone know any other companies that do this! This is very exciting to me

If everyone was the same the world would be a VERY boring place.

I know that all hospitals around here do, some doctors offices as well. I have always been in the medical field so that is all I am familiar with.

JC Penneys, Grocery Markets.
Look for places where their "full time" is not 40 hours. Such as our JC Penneys when I used to work there years ago, full time was 30 hours and they offered benefits.

Re: part time jobs with full-time benefits:)!!!
It was me!! I know about part time jobs with full benefits because my hubbie is reaping the rewards at his job with IKEA (Swedish furniture). He has am AMAZING benefits package...........one that rival my school districts..........and his company has the BEST medical we have ever had!!
Look into your local school district (ours has full benefits for anyone who works four or more hours per day). I also know that Starbucks has full benefits for anyone who works 20+ hours per week. Some grocery store chains will do this as well. A lot of places that are union will also have healthcare and other benefits for part time employees. And of course, IKEA!! (if you have one nearby) My hubbie even gets a PAID week of paternity leave when we have our next and has three vacation weeks to use on top of that..........VERY family friendly because they are based on European standards and culture!! Good luck!! Feel free to PM me about other info I have found out about Starbucks and other Co's. Most of the places that I have researched come from Fortune magazine's TOP 100 Co's to work for as well. |

I would check the colleges and universities in your area. The public schools have a pro-rated schedule (part-time people pay a bit more). Also, banks, call-centers, ups, airlines, etc.

Re: part time jobs with full-time benefits:)!!!
I thought of something else...when I worked 30 per week for the university I received full benefits (medical, retirement, vacation and sick days) but I also recieved 50% reduced tuition. I was able to finish my degree for cheap while I was a single mother

Re: part time jobs with full-time benefits:)!!!
I work for the state and I get to work part time and get full time benefits, however, while I was full time, the state paid my insurance and now that I'm part time, they only cover 1/2 of the monthly premium.
Make sense? Its still a sweet deal. So that's something else to consider. |
