Does anyone have any experience with the MED FB and the PT size FB?
It seems like my son (20 lbs, 10 inch thigh) would fit into both sizes:
Medium Petite
13-25lb 18-30+ lb
Thigh10-13 in 9-12 in

He currently wears Meds snapped as small as you can make them.
I've seen some inexpensive PTs for sale and am wondering if I should buy.

The pt's are good for skinner thighed babies. If you have a chunky thighed baby stay with the regulars. You can always try one on FSOT and see if it fits.

The big diff I think is in the rise. Jonah is 2. 29lbs. 36" 11" thigh. He wears a pt fb nicely. Med is too short. L is kind of big.

So is the rise longer (bigger?) on the PT than on the Med? What is the rise and how do I measure it?

I agree with Mel on this one. Chloe is 20 mts. 20 lbs 31" tall and 11"thigh an she also wears a PT nicely. Med rise is way to short on her. Large is way too big.

I believe the rise is 18". If you have a diaper that fits your DS nicely you have to measure the top of the front down the middle all the way to the top of the back.

I agree with the other posts. DD is 13 mos, just hit 20bs and I think 11" thigh. Since I just started with cloth I tried a few different ones. For us, the medium fits ok, but we bought PT. They are about the same width, but taller rise, maybe an inch? (sorry at work and can't measure). The L fits for overnight, but that's with two CB or Nurtured Family inserts and smallest adjustment. My friend's DD has mediums now and will probably go to L after. Since we got on the CD bandwagon a little late we started with PT and while I have two size L I probably won't need anymore. We even got some smalls by mistake to start (shipper's mistake) but I was so anxious to try them I squeezed her into them with just the waist hooked on the largest setting! It worked.

We LOVE the FBs. Although DH did send her to bed one night with a PT and one insert instead of the L double stuffed I told him to use... wasn't worth waking her up either. She didn't leak, but it was SURE wet!
